My two friends and the seven boys we all home school had a great tour at the Wolcott Maple Syrup farm at the beginning of April this year. It was the best maple syrup tour I have ever been on. Very hands on, and we learned so much with all of the new technology for collecting sap and making the syrup. Highly recommended tour! I learned about the maple syrup tour after my husband and I experienced Wolcott's romantic torch lit sleigh ride back in March. This was an amazing experience as well. So beautiful!!! Would love to do it again! The maple syrup is fantastic! So much to do at this farm.

Hello, I saw your coupon on Groupon. I love to ride. I am fairly new to the area and would love to ride. I noticed your ad in groupon says for all levels of riders, but also says that the trail rides are exactly that. I wonder if you may have rides that are more than walking. I would love to be able to gallop and canter if possible. If you could let me know I would appreciate it. Your farm looks lovely in the pics. Thanks, Celia

Came today w/GCC group - great time!! Loved riding the horse - beautiful trails! I tried the Rasberry Maple spread when I got home and Cody and I wished I'd bought some more!! Very good!! I may be back for more of that ;-) I'll have to show my husband the horse in a heart metal working - he does stuff like that too - likes to see that kind of stuff. :-) ( www.twistedjsmetalshop.com ) Thanks again!! I just wanted to thank you Tina for the awesome experience me and my girlfriend had. Our sleigh ride was awesome. The torch-lit pathway made it very romantic. Everyone there were genuine people and your maple syrup products are delicious! Even though you guys are an hour away, my girlfriend and I will make an effort to stop up there during the summer to ride your horses. Such a great experience and thank you again!

We had a wonderful experience at Wolcott Farms. Bundled in warm blankets we rode in a comfortable sleigh on snow-covered ground through wooded areas listening to the gentle tingling sounds emanating from the horses' harnesses. Our host provided information about local maple sugar harvesting as we rode by tapped trees. The ride concluded with a cup of hot chocolate provided by our welcoming hosts. I checked off "sleigh ride" from my 'bucket list'! We highly recommend a trip to Wolcott Farms. We're looking forward to the maple sugar season!

Tina, I came for a sleigh ride with a friend of mine not long ago. The setting was great as well as having a nice place to be warm up after the ride. The ride was amazing. At night it was so beautiful. I would have to say that the lanterns at night made it even more incredible. They made it like a ride back hundreds of years ago when trails were really lit by them, the sleep hollow days, wow they really made it amazing!! We were also impressed at how perfect the trails were. It was apparent that you and your husband had spent a lot of time on them and take pride in what you do. This was one of the most romantic rides we have ever been on and we are looking forward to do it again. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. Bob Engle Pittsford, NY

I bought this for my wife for Christmas 2010 and just used it last weekend and I (we) are glad we waited. The day started out to be very blustery but ended up very calm by the time we went on our ride. We arrived very early as we were going to make a day of this and Tina encouraged us to go into town and have dinner before our ride. Wonderful idea, we were able to get into the Valley Inn and had a great meal. The sky was clear to see all the beautiful stars although it meant we had to bundle up a bit. We had a half moon which helped light up the trees and allow us to see the trees ready for tapping of the sap for syrup production. The trails were wonderfully lit to enhance the ride. Tina stopped to take some pictures for our memories and the horses, Blaze and Polly, couldn't have been cooler. We gave them treats when the ride was finished to show them our appreciation and Tina shared with us a cup of hot chocolate to warm us up. Everybody was very courteous and thoughtful and friendly, we will be back! To Nella the wonderful puppy who was the first to greet us, YOU HAVE THE LIFE!! If only she could taste the wonderful cream spread that is made from maple syrup and cinnamon or raspberry. Who knows, maybe she has.... Thanks to everybody who made our experience a great one and looking forward to seeing you all very soon to taste the maple syrup this spring. Ken and Liz

We purchased a Ratabeagle (1/2 Rat Terrior - 1/2 Beagle)puppy from Wolcott Farms last July. What a great addition he has been to our family. The pup has a great disposition, is great with young children and LOVES to play. His name is Tyson (named after and by Tyye Wolcott)and as we're friends of the Wolcott's, he frequently gets to come back for much loved visits with his extended family. If your in the market for any type of puppy raised by Wolcott farms, we HIGHLY recommend them. Our dear friends also purchased a puppy (another Ratabeagle and Tyson's brother) and the siblings also get to visit each other quite frequently.

Hi Tina, I just wanted to let you know how Dolly is doing. Well, its been over a month now and I love her to death. She is a favorite at the barn and heads turn when ever or where ever I ride. She stands the furthest away from the barn and herd but she comes right up to me when I want to ride. She sticks mostly with the alpha mare. The herd didn't seem to care that she joined with them. She stands so good on the cross ties and loves to be brushed. Sometimes I get to talking with other people and she just stands there forever so good. She doesn't take anything from my hands, like apples, carrots. Which is a good thing, but 1st horse ever met that does that. My saddle didn't fit so I put an ad on craigslist and got a nice Aussie saddle for cheap. She seems to be okay with it. I have a man coming to measure her in about a week to make a custom saddle with her name engraved on it. It's my christmas gift from my parents. :) I been doing the "tug" motion when riding and when I lead her I h ave my space and she has her. My sister and mom used to be scared of horses but now they lead her around like it is nothing. They haven't gotten the courage yet to sit on her, but I'm working on it. My mom runs those 5K things so sometimes she runs around the arena next to Dolly. (sounds and looks dorky but if it gets her to be more comfy with horses i dont care) Sandi and I tried lunging Dolly and she does super good. She does her little English walk and seems to love to be worked. Dolly and I just play with the barrels and ride in the indoor arena, because it has been raining here like crazy. The first time I let her run in the arena she put her head in every single barrel then she started to run around by herself. Saturday we went on our first trail ride at the barn and I lead most of the way, because Dolly was willing to just go through anything and the other horses were a little nervous, but once they saw her do it they did it. haha Everyone gives me nothing, but good c omments about her and asks me questions. She is a big attration when we ride down to Colden Lakes. Saturday little kids came running up to pet her, and the other day some women asked to get her picture taken with Dolly and I...i have no idea why but okay haha She met the farrier last week and it didn't go so well. She was super nervous and wasn't sure what to do. He said that she had her feet done in stocks proably, but in the end we got it done and wasn't the worst horse he has done. It's something I can work on though. She gets along with the two goats(that took about a week or so). At 1st, she would put her ears back and chase them around the arena but now she don't care what they do. She could care less about the dogs, cats, and other horses. Someone asked me the first week Dolly was at the barn if she just had a baby not to long ago and I was like "I dont think so?" So thats pretty much all that has happened. I hope your horses arn't missing her to much. She seems happy with the attention and me riding her enough to wear I'm not sore the next morning :) Dolly wont ever replace my first horse but she's definitely helping fill that hole in my heart. Thank you again Tina! Dolly's new forever owner, Katrina

Hi everyone who I met at Wolcott Farm on 10/9/10, My aunt and I really enjoyed riding on your horses. I was glad that my aunt got a chance to ride on the horse for first time in her life. She really love it so much. I was very impressed that your horses were very well-trained for inexperienced riders. The environment at your farm was very nice for riding on trails in the fall season. I felt very peace and being 100% stree-free. Tina and Mary were very good people who helped my aunt with riding. Tina instructed her about how to handle the horse. They made sure us feeling comfortable with horses. For inexperienced riders, I HIGHLY recommend you to go to Wolcott Farms for riding horses on the trails! Tina and Mary will give you a good care about riding. They know which horse can fit you. The price is very reasonable comparing to other company where I used to ride in the past. In addition, the horses at Wolcott Farms are BEST ever I see because all are well-trained. My aunt and I want to thank you, Tina and Mary for giving us rides on two of your horses. My aunt really want to come to your farm again when I come back! I told my aunt that I would love come to your farm next year! Hope you enjoy your life at the farm!

Hi! My husband, daughter and I did a trail ride for an hour. We had a hard time finding places that would allow my seven yr old daughter to ride, so we were happy to find your farm. It was her first time, and she LOVED it. The trail was nice and sedate to keep me from being nervous about her, but exciting enough to keep her interested. The price was right too! We had a fabulous experience! Thank you! *Note: apply plenty of bug spray!

Hi Tina, Hope everything is well. Wanted to send you a couple pictures of jades baby, and let you know that everything went great. She waited until my husband and I were around to have the baby. We delivered it june 1st. Jade is such a good mommy, you would be proud of her. The filly is so calm and lovable. I think she will be easy to train. Jade and her little one have been great. Thank You again.

Hi Tina, I just wanted to say thanks for the Great Time this past Tuesday! You did an incredible job as always! As we spoke, this was my 3 kids first time on horseback and after the experience it won't be there last! They all can't wait to come back next year! I also wanted to mention that your children are to be proud of...your boys were extremely professional tour guides and your daughter was quite a pleasure to buy grain from! She was there in your absence when you took the next group out and I wanted to say she is doing a great job! We have been coming to you since you started offering rides in the park and will remain doing so for years to come! Till next time... Thank You! Bill Richter

Thank you Wolcott Farms Four years ago my daughter and I took riding lessons at Wolcott Farms. This was my first “hands on” experience with horses. I like the fact that it was a realistic experience handling the horses. I learned to properly brush, pick hoofs, lunge, and ride a horse. We were impressed with the knowledgeable staff, family-friendly atmosphere, great horses, and large facilities. When we decided to purchase a horse two years ago, we knew where to go. Tina was very helpful with allowing us to “test drive” different age horses. We opted to go with two four month old colts because we wanted to learn as they grew. Several friends had warned us that it would be a difficult experience because of our “inexperience” and “colts are hard to handle.” Tina and Craig gave us valuable instructions and were available whenever we had questions. What an awesome experience! Today, at 2 years old, we have two beautiful, well-mannered Tennessee Walker geldings. I wouldn’t hesitate a second to buy another young horse from Wolcott Farms.
