Wolcott Farms is centrally located in Wyoming County, Warsaw NY between Buffalo New York & Rochester W.N.Y. near Letchworth State Park. We offer public horse riding in Western New York. Enjoy a peaceful view and the sounds of mother nature in the saddle of a well trained horse, and a guide that will help you enjoy your visit. Our instructional horseback rides have beautiful trails that a wait you. Natural sugar maple woods and hemlocks. Watch for wildlife that may wander through at that time of riding. We have seen deer, coyotes, owl, fox, squirrels to name a few. No experience is necessary to ride. The horseback riding is all instructional and there are two guides that will give instructions on horseback continuously throughout your trail ride making sure you have a great ride and relax with the sounds of nature. We ride all twelve months. All rides are great for beginner through advanced riders. Beautiful wooded trails with scenery that is breathtaking. Our horses are experienced riding horses and most are gaited Tennessee Walkers and draft horses, we match rider with horse, which makes for a fantastic ride. Horse sizes range from 13 to 18 hands [four inches = one hand] tall. Most rides are at walking pace due to the terrain. We ride rain or shine and through the summer, fall, winter, and spring seasons. You may bring a camera to capture that special family moment.

Answers to Common Questions
What is your weight limit for riders? There really is no weight limit. Riding is a physical activity and isn't only about weight. A heavy person who is athletic is easier for a horse to carry then a lighter person who flops around and does not work with the horse.
What is a "family ride"? It accommodates families, our age minimum to six years of age for family rides. Hand-held pony rides for the younger children.
Can I ride double with my child? I'm sorry, no; it is very unsafe for everyone involved.

Amish made horse-drawn bob sleigh or wagon accommodate up to 6-8 people. Great for family ride. We need perfect snow conditions to run this sleigh, frozen ground and nice snow base. Large groups can be occupied back at barn while others out on ride, we have something for everyone to do. We also can furnish you a bonfire and grill for that extra FUN!!
We specialize in Tennessee Walking Horses and Percheron Draft horses, Warm bloods, Spotted Draft Horses, Draft crosses, foals and just great trail family horses. All of our horses are exposed to traffic, wooden bridges and being loaded in horse trailers. We desensitize with tarps and jugs hanging off saddles. We even shoot a gun off their back's while sitting in the saddle.
